Besides a good mood and high spirits, here’s a list of what I take in my backpack on a city break, usually abroad.
City break packing list
- documents and money (ID card, passport if needed, travel insurance, cards, cash)
- medication
- underwear × number of days
- two long-sleeved tops
- socks × number of days
- T-shirts × number of days + 1
- slippers
- pyjamas (usually shorts and a T-shirt)
- cap
- sunglasses
- perfume, 100 ml max
- deodorant
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- tissues
- photo and/or video camera
- power bank
- plug adapter (if the country I’m travelling to uses different sockets)
- charger + cables
- headphones
- watch
- laptop or tablet
- a book or an e-book reader if the flight is longer
This is the list I start from when I pack for every city break. I’d also add comfortable shoes, because I usually walk a lot. Depending on the season I might add a jacket or a rain poncho. Depending on the destination I might also add swim shorts and sunscreen.
That’s pretty much what I take on a city break. What do you pack when you go on a city break in Europe?
